The Clean Comfort of Preferred Air!

I have a refrigerant leak in my system. What do I do?

A leak is never good since it can lead to damage of the system and potentially your home. The first step is to determine how big the leak is and where is it? The leak will be in either in the condenser coil (of the outside unit), the air handler coil (of the inside unit), or in the copper lines connecting the two units together. Our technician will use a leak detector to determine the source of the leak. If the technician fails to find the leak, then the next step would be to isolate the copper line sets from the units to determine which part is the  problem. Once the leak is found, appropiate options will be presented to you. Dependent on the location of the leak and whether there are any warranties available will determine the final cost.
